SMR Levator Scapulae Theracane

The SMR Levator Scapulae Theracane exercise helps relieve tension in the upper back and neck area.

  • From a standing position, place the end point of the theracane on the right levator scapulae muscle (located above the shoulder blade to the base of the skull). 
  • Slowly allow the left ear to drop towards the left shoulder and let the chin drop towards the chest until a stretch is felt on the right side of the upper back/neck. 
  • Hold for 30-90 seconds depending on intensity of application.
  • Repeat on the opposite side.
